What adds the PLUS to this level is our screened and trained Service Volunteers who offer the following services to save you money, reduce your stress, and simplify your life as you remain in your home. 

If at any time, a Service Volunteer is not available or not able to meet the need, we have a list of local recommended providers and businesses.

Service Examples
Village members who can depend on a way to get from point A to point B have the freedom to make plans, stay active and keep engaged with their interests. 
Transportation: provide transportation to appointments, shopping, & events between Half Moon Bay and Montara.
Choosing the place we call home is essential for all of us. Supporting members who wish to remain in their current living situation but who have difficulty with some aspects of home maintenance or personal assistance makes the choice of aging in their current home possible.
Home & Personal Assistance: Change  lightbulbs, change fire alarm batteries, take trash/recycling to the curb, assist with laundry, home safety check for fall prevention, run errands, light gardening help, pick up prescription or dry cleaning, help with paying bills, help with organizing, assist with pet care, vacation home check.
When we can know that we have a support network who can check in with us from time to time, we can feel more secure and comfortable living alone.
Social Support: Just Checking In (JCI): for phone check-in or friendly visits in the home. 
When members get basic technical support in using their devices and computer, they can use newer technology to enhance their lives.
Technology Support: help with basic computer, smart phone, tablet use.
When we can engage with medical professionals with confidence because we completely understand the information about our health and the choices available to us, we can make better informed decisions about the path we want to take for treatment and intervention.

Medical Support: as needed help with preparation for clinical appts, note taking and/or form completion, assistance with organizing medications,  future medical appointment scheduling,  assistance with updating family members on health conditions.
When members can learn about vendors that are familiar with and empathetic to the practical realities of aging, they can make choices that build confidence and improve their quality of life. 
Service Referrals - Concierge Service: assist with phone calls from/to members, vendors, volunteers for service request scheduling. 
Membership Eligibility
  • Residents living in the area between Montara and Half Moon Bay
  • Willing to provide emergency contact information (family, friend or other in case of need)
  • Responsible for and capable of making key decisions about one's own life
  • Living in a residence that presents no known threats to health or safety to visitors
  • Self-sufficient in meeting personal care needs, either through self-care or with assistance of a personal care-giver
  • Covered medically in place including relationship with a medical provider
  • Member Plus applicants will be interviewed in their homes to assess eligibility based on these criteria, so that we are mutually assured the Village can meet their needs.
Membership Policies
  • Payment Options: You may pay annually by Credit Card or by check.  Monthly payments must be made by credit card and will be billed automatically.  You'll be able to choose payment options as you proceed through enrollment. 
  • Commitment: Membership is a year commitment to help build and maintain a thriving Village.
  • Refund: We appreciate your annual commitment. While we do not provide refunds exceptional circumstances will be considered.
Member Plus Plans
  • Individual: $480 annually or $40 monthly.
  • Household (2 or more residing in the home): $600 annually or $50 monthly.
