    • Amazon you pay per title watched, either renting or buying videos. Discount for buying an entire season of TV shows.  Amazon also has a subset of titles available for Amazon Prime member that are for free.
    • While they do offer movies, Hulu is best known for its TV offerings. It's especially popular with people who don't have cable or satellite service because the service provides access to current seasons of hit shows
    • Other Third-Party Providers: While Netflix, Amazon Video, and Hulu dominate the streaming landscape, there are other providers you can check out. Apple iTunes and Google Play Movies & TV both offer lots of videos and can be especially good choices for people who use those companies' devices. You can also check out providers like FANDANGO NOW, Crackle, VUDU, and Popcornflix for multi-genre options as well as niche services like ACORN TV (British series) and Timeless Television (classic TV) for programming that may not be available on the Big Three, you can't access on the devices you own, or offer better deals.
How To View Streaming Media
  • Smart Devices: phone and tablet

  • Smart TV
    • A Smart TV connects directly to the Internet to access various features like channel guides, websites and, most commonly, streaming content.
    • You don't need a Smart TV to use a streaming player.
    • However, if you have a Smart TV, you still may want to use a separate player because, generally speaking, the TVs often don't support as many apps as the players do.
  • TV Streaming Players
    • The purpose of streaming media players is to get the signal for your movies and TV shows from the Internet instead of from a cable or satellite provider. A streaming player takes the video signal from the Internet, so you can use it without having cable or satellite service.
    • Big Four Players: Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast (see Overall Links below for how they work.
